Thank You Notes

IMG_4561IMG_4575The Sun City Chapter of NOW members felt honored and appreciated by your ceremony.  They loved having rose petals tossed on them and singing to Holly Near and dancing to Sweet Honey and the Rock.  I can’t thank you enough for sharing your talents with all of us.

YOU WENT OUT OF YOUR WAY TO BE HELPFUL, AS ALWAYS. YOUR KINDNESS IS A LIGHT IN A DARK WORLD. IT MEANT SO MUCH TO ME THAT YOU DIDN’T SAY, “LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN DO.” YOU FIGURED IT OUT FOR YOURSELF AFTER TALKING WITH ME AND DID IT. THANK YOU.
A JOB WELL DONE MAY BE ITS OWN REWARD, BUT YOU DESERVE APPRECIATION TOO. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT JOB YOU DID!
MARILYN IS DA BOMB AND I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED HER SERVICES TO MANY OTHERS I KNOW. YOU WILL NOT REGRET HAVING HER INPUT IN YOUR LIFE.
I JUST LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ME SOME MARILYN!

Marilyn, I cannot thank you enough for officiating at my send off ceremony. I so appreciated the time you took to tailor the ceremony to me, my life and the journey I was about to embark on. You creatively wove traditions together that had meaningful symbolism and carefully considered and included things that were important to me and my family. You respected the space that I was in and yet knew the importance of a celebrational send off. Though I could not emotionally appreciate the day, the fruits of the day enriched my life and led to remarkable support from the attendees over the months that followed. For that I am forever grateful. Your skills as a Celebrant are a gift to be cherished. With Great Gratitude — Love Cindy

Thank you for making our mom’s ceremony memorable. It had structure and theme without being rigid; emotion that wasn’t sappy; symbolism that didn’t stifle; and humor, pathos and warmth.

I love co-creating meaningful rituals with Marilyn.  Rituals are a part of each family’s life and they are part of our life at Shadow Rock Preschool. Each August we start our year with a 12-hour workshop to build our excitement level as we head out to meet the new children we will get to know.
We always end our workshop with a sending forth ritual. It is a way of wrapping up and positively sending forth our wonderful staff. On one occasion each teacher wrote a private note of something they wanted to release. At the end they tossed their notes in the fire and let it go. Another time the teachers made a list of goals to work on during the school year. We returned the list when we returned for Winter Break. Many were pleased at their accomplishment. This year each of opened a door and stepped over the threshold into our own new beginnings.

Thank you for the meaningful house warming ceremony you performed for us when our oldest son Sean moved into his first home. Mike commented that what was most meaningful to him was the blessing of grace and peace that you brought into Sean’s home. The ceremony was in keeping with our church tradition of the past is accepted and received and the future is open. With this blessing the sense that a positive energy or karma that settled into his home was very real and almost palpable. Not that a spirit descended upon us at that moment but that the feeling we had inside and with Sean was a sense of commitment to living that blessing, especially during times of challenge. Your own authentic and healing presence helped mark this important rite of passage with a balance of seriousness, sincerity and joy. It brought meaning and focus to this important step into adulthood. Sean told us he values that your ceremony made it very spiritually neutral and allowed the condo to become his own place. He continued to burn the sage bundle on a monthly basis to continue to spiritually purify the space. Thank you!

I have known Marilyn for nearly forty years, in both personal and professional capacities. She is one of the most caring, capable, and intuitive women I’ve ever known. I had the privilege of attending a healing ceremony performed by Marilyn. As a celebrant, she embodied the perfect blend of practical competence and soulful insight, and the lives of all present that day were enriched by the experience she created. I am honored to call this luminous woman my friend.

Marilyn was amazing.  We needed something that not only reflected our unique views and beliefs, but clearly had our family’s signature in it.  She not only captured that, but did so in a way that made the entire ceremony something so special and heartfelt that it moved everyone involved–including the photographer!

What a WONDERFUL graduation celebration.  Megan’s friends even came to tell me how they wished their parents had thought of something like this.  The symbolism of the yarn was perfect and it left us all tearing up.
